People Coming to Bishwa Ijtema

Bishwa Ijtema is the 2^nd biggest gathering for Muslims after Hajj. Science 1946 Bangladesh Tabligh e Jamat arranged this event successfully as a representative of Muslim world. It is arranged by Bangladesh Tabligh e Jamat. Approximately from 100 countries devote represent their flag under the flag of Islam include Bangladesh. With the normal people Bangladesh’s  president, prime minister, opposite party chairperson & ministers are also join here for prayers & meditation exclude all political discussions.

In this year, 2012, is the 46^th Bishwa Ijtema arranged by Tabligh e Jamat on the bank of Turag River at Tongi, north of the capital, Bangladesh. Nearly 160 acres of area are crowded by the devotes. The devotes attained the event for three days to find their inner peace, blessings from Allah, to find their way for live according to Islam by taking prayers & meditation.

Last year, in 2011 for over crowd this area the event is arranged in two phase.  This year also it is arranged in two phase.1^st phase starts from 13^th to 15^th January & 2^nd starts from 20^th to 22^th January. This program is concluded by Akheri Munajat. Tabligh e Jamat initiated by Muhammad Ilyas al Kandhlawi in 1927. Then it speeded throughout the sub-continent & also to other region. After the devidation in 1947 three Ijtema centers are created on Bhopal [India], Raiwind [Pakistan] & bank of Turag, Tongi, Bangladesh.  Among these Tongi Bishwa Ijtema is the largest congregations of all after Hajj. It is expected that last year’s 5 million crowd will be crossed in this year, 2012.

Bangladesh government deploys 22000 RAB, POLICE, ANSAR with metal detector and dog scud for the safety of devotes. For hospitality organizers set up a lot of public toilet, tent, health care center, mike, complain box and volunteers. For foreign devotes has separate tent and other facilities.
This Congregation in Bishwa Ijtema  is succeeding by the entire normal person who love or have faith for his almighty Allah. This immensely popular congregation gives Bangladeshi people an opportunity to interact with Muslims from the other countries and spread the brotherhood and hospitality of our Bangladesh.
